map showing mineral production by country
A map that displays each country including every country in africa and shows the mineral production for year 2011 , eg Ghana produced 600Mt of gold or Mali produced 60000t of platinium and you can have a drop down so the user picks the mineral eg gold, silver etc and the country eg egypt , kenya etc. . . theres alot that can be done with that info to help better understand the mining industry. . . just an idea

consumption of horse meat world wide and focusing on future of american consumption (legalised in November 2011)

develop an option to "move" the circles in a proportional symbol map so you avoid overlapping.
The idea is, for example, if you have several countries which circles overlap, you can move the biggest ones (the circle will be linked to the country with a, maybe, a cone. This will allow for the user to see how important the biggest countries are without hiding the small ones.

A whole consumption index for each country. There was such an index table for all the countries made by the Economist but only till 2005. I've been looking for such a table , but is impossible to find.
